REPORTING ERRORS AND RECOMMENDING IMPROVEMENTS
The reporting of errors, omissions, and recommen-
dations for improving this publication is recom-
mended. Reports should be submitted on DA Form
2028 (Recommended Changes to Publications and
Blank Forms) and forwarded direct to Commander,
U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command,
ATTN : AMSMC-QAD-P, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock
Island, IL 61299-6000. A reply will be furnished
to you.
1. General. This warranty technical bulletin (WTB) prescribes the
warranty description, coverage, responsibilities, and procedures for
all components of the 9mm M9 Semiautomatic Pistol. Coverage is for a
period of 12 months from date of Government acceptance for materiel
and workmanship and a period of 18 months from date of government
acceptance for conformance to performance requirements. This WTB is
applicable to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and
U.S. Navy. The U.S. Marine Corps should use the appropriate advance
logistic order/supply instruction.
2. Definitions.
The following definitions apply to the warranty
program:

b. Acceptance Date. The date an item of equipment is accepted
into the DOD inventory by the execution of the acceptance block and
signing of a DD Form 250 by an authorized representative of the
government.
