BONAFIDE emergency exists, contact the AM General or supplier dealer nearest to you and arrange for the repairs. Leave
a message for the Field Service Representative, preparing a Memorandum for Record (MFR) of your telephone call to
include date, time and name of parson contacted. Proceed with the repairs.
b. AM General FSR will make all arrangements with the dealership for receipt, Inspection. and repair of the
vehicle. AM General FSR will make every effort to provide telephonic instructions to you immediately; however, for those
exceptions which cannot be handled immediately, AM General FSR will provide telephonic instructions to you within TEN
working days. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM AM GENERAL.
c. Present your vehicle or component to the designated dealer. Obtain a copy of the dealer work order and retain it
as evidence of a warranty claim.
Prepare and forward a DA Form 2407 in accordance with TM 38-750 and forward a duplicate copy to the
d.
Logistics Assistance Office for your Headquarters, marked for: AM General Representative, M915 Warranty.
Using the Warranty Repair Order obtained from the dealer, establish and maintain a current demand
history on each of the replaced items by preparing a DA Form 2765.
If a warranty dispute arises. forward a prepared DA Form 2407 in accordance with TM 38-750 to the addresses

noted in Section IV, Paragraph If.
2. When the Government desires to make the repairs, take the following actions:
a.
Under the provisions of Section I, Paragraph 3b, contact the AM General Field Service Representative as noted
in Paragraph la, Section V, above. State the nature of the problem and that the Government desires to make the repairs.
Prepare a Memorandum for Record (MFR) of your telephone conversation with AM General to include date, time and name
of the person contacted.
AM General FSR will make every effort to provide telephonic instructions to you immediately: however, for

those exceptions which cannot be handled immediately, AM General FSR will provide telephonic instructions to you with-
in ten working days. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM AM GENERAL.
c.
Prepare and forward a DA Form 2407 in accordance with TM 38-750 and a Request for Reimbursement (see
Annex B) and forward a duplicate copy to the Logistics Assistance Office for your Headquarters, marked for: AM General
Representative, M915 Warranty. AM General shall accept the labor charges for warranty corrections made by the Govern-
ment, computed at the prevailing hourly labor rate in the geographical area, based on the flat rate manual or the Government's
actual cost, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
If you disagree or if a dispute arises. prepare and forward a DA Form 2407 to the addresses noted in Section IV,
d.
Paragraph lf.
For each item obtained from AM General, follow the action stated in Section IV, Paragraph le.

In making your own repairs, you may be required to return the defective part(s) to AM General per their instruc-
tions. If so, drain the defective part(s), if applicable, and tag with DA Form 2402, in accordance with TM 38-750. Clean,
wrap and securely package the part(s) to prevent further damage. This is important since AM General will examine the
returned part(s) to determine if there is a warranted defect. Return the part(s) with a duplicate copy of the prepared DA
Form 2407 to:

AM General will bear the transportation cost of shipping the defective part(s) within CONUS. All shipments will be via
surface freight. It is equally important that the defective part(r) be adequately protected while awaiting disposition instruc-
tions. For example. do not leave an engine in the open, exposed to weather. Inadequate protection can jeopardize the
Government's warranty claim. Placing an engine on boards and covering it with canvas could provide simple but needed
protection so that AM General can readily inspect it to validate the claim. Do not dispose of the defective part(s) unless
